St Kew Pre-School

We would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your family. St Kew Pre-school is based in the parish hall of St Kew, a beautiful rural location, next to the church and just down the hill from St Kew School.

We are registered with OFSTED to offer places to 20 children per session and are inspected regularly to ensure that we operate to the National Standards for Sessional Care for children. We are a committee led registered charity, part of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and members of Family Services.

We have prepared this information to help answer the many questions that every parent/carer has when their child starts attending an early years provision for the first time. We have tried to cover all aspects of pre-school life, but if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask either a member of staff or a member of the committee. They will always be more than happy to spend time with you and help to make your families experience with St Kew Pre-school a happy and enjoyable one. 

All this information may seem very daunting to start with but we hope that by providing it in this format, you will feel more confident in what, to some of you, is the first experience of leaving your child with anyone but family and close friends.

The pre-school has been running for 30 years providing childcare for children in the local area and beyond.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage to ensure the children receive a quality experience that supports their development and learning. The EYFS is made up of six areas of learning and development, all are connected to one another and are equally important. They are underpinned by the four priciples detailed below.
